Day 2

Stats: Hiked 2 hours, 10 minutes (5 miles)

Yep! Felt up to day two. Hiking the Lake Loop was amazing, if a little muddy. My poor shoes.

The sky looked as if rain was going to pour any time before we hit the halfway point. But, we totally lucked out. It didn't start drizzling until we were 10 yards from the puddlejumper.

2 days, 9 1/4 miles. Yay, me!

Starting Fresh, Again--Day 1

Stats: Walked 1 hour, 12 minutes (4 1/4 miles)

Today, T was meeting up with his friend to run. I decided to tag along in order to walk the track.

Since I had no repercussions of the 2 mile walk a few days ago, I figured an hour would be just fine.

As it turned out, my pace was 30 seconds faster per lap. Plus, walking felt really good. No feeling of slogging through molasses.

I am hopeful.

Wednesday Stats: Walked 40 minutes (2 miles)

It wasn't the most enjoyable of walks, thanks to the wind. But, I did it! Two miles. Not too shabby for all the inactivity of the last few months.

Hope

I'm still fightning the insomnia. In fact, I woke up at 2 am this morning. Then slept from 7:45 am to noon.

But, I have had loads of energy the rest of the day. I've been cleaning. Running laundry. Folding what has been waiting in clothes baskets for days. The kitchen has been completely decluttered. The living room no longer has magazines & such all over the coffee table. Changed the sheets on all the beds.

I feel as if I could run miles!

Please, please, please...let this be the beginning of a long stretch of energy. I'm so ready to live!

Insomnia Sucks

I'm so tired of not being able to sleep. Yesterday, I finally relaxed enough to sleep at 6 am. Unfortunately, I had to start our early morning routine at 6:15. After getting the boy out to the bus, I tried to go back to bed, as two hours of sleep doesn't cut it. Ended up sleeping from 9 am to 1 pm. A whole 4 hours! Last night I was hopeful. I started getting sleepy around 9pm. Read for a little while, waiting for everyone else to get to bed. The last thing I needed was to be woken up when T finally got around to getting himself in bed. I should have known better! Woke up at 1:20 am & have been wide awake ever since. Thus, my plans for the day have be shot to hell!
